A vulnerability was found in the Linux Kernel where the function sunkbd_reinit having been scheduled by sunkbd_interrupt before sunkbd being freed. Though the dangling pointer is set to NULL in sunkbd_disconnect, there is still an alias in sunkbd_reinit causing Use After Free.
CVE-2020-25668 3 Debian, Linux, Netapp 26 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, 500f and 23 more 2023-11-07 6.9 MEDIUM 7.0 HIGH
A flaw was found in Linux Kernel because access to the global variable fg_console is not properly synchronized leading to a use after free in con_font_op.
CVE-2020-1752 4 Canonical, Debian, Gnu and 1 more 9 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Glibc and 6 more 2023-11-07 3.7 LOW 7.0 HIGH
A use-after-free vulnerability introduced in glibc upstream version 2.14 was found in the way the tilde expansion was carried out. Directory paths containing an initial tilde followed by a valid username were affected by this issue. A local attacker could exploit this flaw by creating a specially crafted path that, when processed by the glob function, would potentially lead to arbitrary code execution. This was fixed in version 2.32.
CVE-2020-16166 7 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more 16 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 13 more 2023-11-07 4.3 MEDIUM 3.7 LOW
The Linux kernel through 5.7.11 allows remote attackers to make observations that help to obtain sensitive information about the internal state of the network RNG, aka CID-f227e3ec3b5c. This is related to drivers/char/random.c and kernel/time/timer.c.
CVE-2020-15025 4 Netapp, Ntp, Opensuse and 1 more 27 8300, 8300 Firmware, 8700 and 24 more 2023-11-07 4.0 MEDIUM 4.9 MEDIUM
ntpd in ntp 4.2.8 before 4.2.8p15 and 4.3.x before 4.3.101 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) by sending packets, because memory is not freed in situations where a CMAC key is used and associated with a CMAC algorithm in the ntp.keys file.
CVE-2020-11884 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more 35 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 32 more 2023-11-07 6.9 MEDIUM 7.0 HIGH
In the Linux kernel 4.19 through 5.6.7 on the s390 platform, code execution may occur because of a race condition, as demonstrated by code in enable_sacf_uaccess in arch/s390/lib/uaccess.c that fails to protect against a concurrent page table upgrade, aka CID-3f777e19d171. A crash could also occur.
CVE-2020-12770 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more 36 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 33 more 2023-11-07 4.6 MEDIUM 6.7 MEDIUM
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel through 5.6.11. sg_write lacks an sg_remove_request call in a certain failure case, aka CID-83c6f2390040.
CVE-2020-12888 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more 39 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 36 more 2023-11-07 4.7 MEDIUM 5.3 MEDIUM
The VFIO PCI driver in the Linux kernel through 5.6.13 mishandles attempts to access disabled memory space.
CVE-2020-11022 8 Debian, Drupal, Fedoraproject and 5 more 78 Debian Linux, Drupal, Fedora and 75 more 2023-11-07 4.3 MEDIUM 6.1 MEDIUM
In jQuery versions greater than or equal to 1.2 and before 3.5.0, passing HTML from untrusted sources - even after sanitizing it - to one of jQuery's DOM manipulation methods (i.e. .html(), .append(), and others) may execute untrusted code. This problem is patched in jQuery 3.5.0.
CVE-2020-10690 6 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 3 more 33 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 30 more 2023-11-07 4.4 MEDIUM 6.4 MEDIUM
There is a use-after-free in kernel versions before 5.5 due to a race condition between the release of ptp_clock and cdev while resource deallocation. When a (high privileged) process allocates a ptp device file (like /dev/ptpX) and voluntarily goes to sleep. During this time if the underlying device is removed, it can cause an exploitable condition as the process wakes up to terminate and clean all attached files. The system crashes due to the cdev structure being invalid (as already freed) which is pointed to by the inode.
CVE-2020-10029 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more 12 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 9 more 2023-11-07 2.1 LOW 5.5 MEDIUM
The GNU C Library (aka glibc or libc6) before 2.32 could overflow an on-stack buffer during range reduction if an input to an 80-bit long double function contains a non-canonical bit pattern, a seen when passing a 0x5d414141414141410000 value to sinl on x86 targets. This is related to sysdeps/ieee754/ldbl-96/e_rem_pio2l.c.
CVE-2019-15538 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more 28 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 25 more 2023-11-07 7.8 HIGH 7.5 HIGH
An issue was discovered in xfs_setattr_nonsize in fs/xfs/xfs_iops.c in the Linux kernel through 5.2.9. XFS partially wedges when a chgrp fails on account of being out of disk quota. xfs_setattr_nonsize is failing to unlock the ILOCK after the xfs_qm_vop_chown_reserve call fails. This is primarily a local DoS attack vector, but it might result as well in remote DoS if the XFS filesystem is exported for instance via NFS.
CVE-2020-15436 3 Broadcom, Linux, Netapp 34 Brocade Fabric Operating System Firmware, Linux Kernel, A250 and 31 more 2023-10-12 7.2 HIGH 6.7 MEDIUM
Use-after-free vulnerability in fs/block_dev.c in the Linux kernel before 5.8 allows local users to gain privileges or cause a denial of service by leveraging improper access to a certain error field.
CVE-2022-28796 4 Fedoraproject, Linux, Netapp and 1 more 24 Fedora, Linux Kernel, Active Iq Unified Manager and 21 more 2023-08-29 6.9 MEDIUM 7.0 HIGH
jbd2_journal_wait_updates in fs/jbd2/transaction.c in the Linux kernel before 5.17.1 has a use-after-free caused by a transaction_t race condition.
CVE-2021-3609 3 Linux, Netapp, Redhat 43 Linux Kernel, H300e, H300e Firmware and 40 more 2023-08-11 6.9 MEDIUM 7.0 HIGH
.A flaw was found in the CAN BCM networking protocol in the Linux kernel, where a local attacker can abuse a flaw in the CAN subsystem to corrupt memory, crash the system or escalate privileges. This race condition in net/can/bcm.c in the Linux kernel allows for local privilege escalation to root.
CVE-2021-41184 6 Drupal, Fedoraproject, Jqueryui and 3 more 35 Drupal, Fedora, Jquery Ui and 32 more 2023-08-11 4.3 MEDIUM 6.1 MEDIUM
jQuery-UI is the official jQuery user interface library. Prior to version 1.13.0, accepting the value of the `of` option of the `.position()` util from untrusted sources may execute untrusted code. The issue is fixed in jQuery UI 1.13.0. Any string value passed to the `of` option is now treated as a CSS selector. A workaround is to not accept the value of the `of` option from untrusted sources.
CVE-2022-30594 3 Debian, Linux, Netapp 21 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, 8300 and 18 more 2023-08-08 4.4 MEDIUM 7.8 HIGH
The Linux kernel before 5.17.2 mishandles seccomp permissions. The PTRACE_SEIZE code path allows attackers to bypass intended restrictions on setting the PT_SUSPEND_SECCOMP flag.
CVE-2021-4083 4 Debian, Linux, Netapp and 1 more 23 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, H300e and 20 more 2023-08-04 6.9 MEDIUM 7.0 HIGH
A read-after-free memory flaw was found in the Linux kernel's garbage collection for Unix domain socket file handlers in the way users call close() and fget() simultaneously and can potentially trigger a race condition. This flaw allows a local user to crash the system or escalate their privileges on the system. This flaw affects Linux kernel versions prior to 5.16-rc4.
