FasterXML jackson-databind 2.x before 2.9.7 might allow remote attackers to conduct server-side request forgery (SSRF) attacks by leveraging failure to block the axis2-jaxws class from polymorphic deserialization.
CVE-2018-12536 2 Eclipse, Oracle 2 Jetty, Retail Xstore Point Of Service 2023-11-07 5.0 MEDIUM 5.3 MEDIUM
In Eclipse Jetty Server, all 9.x versions, on webapps deployed using default Error Handling, when an intentionally bad query arrives that doesn't match a dynamic url-pattern, and is eventually handled by the DefaultServlet's static file serving, the bad characters can trigger a java.nio.file.InvalidPathException which includes the full path to the base resource directory that the DefaultServlet and/or webapp is using. If this InvalidPathException is then handled by the default Error Handler, the InvalidPathException message is included in the error response, revealing the full server path to the requesting system.
CVE-2018-12023 5 Debian, Fasterxml, Fedoraproject and 2 more 11 Debian Linux, Jackson-databind, Fedora and 8 more 2023-11-07 5.1 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
An issue was discovered in FasterXML jackson-databind prior to 2.7.9.4, 2.8.11.2, and 2.9.6. When Default Typing is enabled (either globally or for a specific property), the service has the Oracle JDBC jar in the classpath, and an attacker can provide an LDAP service to access, it is possible to make the service execute a malicious payload.
CVE-2018-12022 5 Debian, Fasterxml, Fedoraproject and 2 more 11 Debian Linux, Jackson-databind, Fedora and 8 more 2023-11-07 5.1 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
An issue was discovered in FasterXML jackson-databind prior to 2.7.9.4, 2.8.11.2, and 2.9.6. When Default Typing is enabled (either globally or for a specific property), the service has the Jodd-db jar (for database access for the Jodd framework) in the classpath, and an attacker can provide an LDAP service to access, it is possible to make the service execute a malicious payload.
CVE-2018-12207 8 Canonical, Debian, F5 and 5 more 1533 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Big-ip Access Policy Manager and 1530 more 2023-11-07 4.9 MEDIUM 6.5 MEDIUM
Improper invalidation for page table updates by a virtual guest operating system for multiple Intel(R) Processors may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable denial of service of the host system via local access.
CVE-2018-11797 3 Apache, Fedoraproject, Oracle 3 Pdfbox, Fedora, Retail Xstore Point Of Service 2023-11-07 4.3 MEDIUM 5.5 MEDIUM
In Apache PDFBox 1.8.0 to 1.8.15 and 2.0.0RC1 to 2.0.11, a carefully crafted PDF file can trigger an extremely long running computation when parsing the page tree.
CVE-2018-11775 2 Apache, Oracle 3 Activemq, Enterprise Repository, Flexcube Private Banking 2023-11-07 5.8 MEDIUM 7.4 HIGH
TLS hostname verification when using the Apache ActiveMQ Client before 5.15.6 was missing which could make the client vulnerable to a MITM attack between a Java application using the ActiveMQ client and the ActiveMQ server. This is now enabled by default.
CVE-2018-11771 2 Apache, Oracle 2 Commons Compress, Weblogic Server 2023-11-07 4.3 MEDIUM 5.5 MEDIUM
When reading a specially crafted ZIP archive, the read method of Apache Commons Compress 1.7 to 1.17's ZipArchiveInputStream can fail to return the correct EOF indication after the end of the stream has been reached. When combined with a java.io.InputStreamReader this can lead to an infinite stream, which can be used to mount a denial of service attack against services that use Compress' zip package.
CVE-2018-11763 5 Apache, Canonical, Netapp and 2 more 9 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Storage Automation Store and 6 more 2023-11-07 4.3 MEDIUM 5.9 MEDIUM
In Apache HTTP Server 2.4.17 to 2.4.34, by sending continuous, large SETTINGS frames a client can occupy a connection, server thread and CPU time without any connection timeout coming to effect. This affects only HTTP/2 connections. A possible mitigation is to not enable the h2 protocol.
CVE-2018-1000873 3 Fasterxml, Netapp, Oracle 6 Jackson-modules-java8, Active Iq Unified Manager, Clusterware and 3 more 2023-11-07 4.3 MEDIUM 6.5 MEDIUM
Fasterxml Jackson version Before 2.9.8 contains a CWE-20: Improper Input Validation vulnerability in Jackson-Modules-Java8 that can result in Causes a denial-of-service (DoS). This attack appear to be exploitable via The victim deserializes malicious input, specifically very large values in the nanoseconds field of a time value. This vulnerability appears to have been fixed in 2.9.8.
CVE-2018-0495 5 Canonical, Debian, Gnupg and 2 more 8 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Libgcrypt and 5 more 2023-11-07 1.9 LOW 4.7 MEDIUM
Libgcrypt before 1.7.10 and 1.8.x before 1.8.3 allows a memory-cache side-channel attack on ECDSA signatures that can be mitigated through the use of blinding during the signing process in the _gcry_ecc_ecdsa_sign function in cipher/ecc-ecdsa.c, aka the Return Of the Hidden Number Problem or ROHNP. To discover an ECDSA key, the attacker needs access to either the local machine or a different virtual machine on the same physical host.
CVE-2018-11761 2 Apache, Oracle 2 Tika, Business Process Management Suite 2023-11-07 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
In Apache Tika 0.1 to 1.18, the XML parsers were not configured to limit entity expansion. They were therefore vulnerable to an entity expansion vulnerability which can lead to a denial of service attack.
CVE-2018-0735 6 Canonical, Debian, Netapp and 3 more 23 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Cloud Backup and 20 more 2023-11-07 4.3 MEDIUM 5.9 MEDIUM
The OpenSSL ECDSA signature algorithm has been shown to be vulnerable to a timing side channel attack. An attacker could use variations in the signing algorithm to recover the private key. Fixed in OpenSSL 1.1.0j (Affected 1.1.0-1.1.0i). Fixed in OpenSSL 1.1.1a (Affected 1.1.1).
CVE-2018-10237 3 Google, Oracle, Redhat 18 Guava, Banking Payments, Communications Ip Service Activator and 15 more 2023-11-07 4.3 MEDIUM 5.9 MEDIUM
Unbounded memory allocation in Google Guava 11.0 through 24.x before 24.1.1 allows remote attackers to conduct denial of service attacks against servers that depend on this library and deserialize attacker-provided data, because the AtomicDoubleArray class (when serialized with Java serialization) and the CompoundOrdering class (when serialized with GWT serialization) perform eager allocation without appropriate checks on what a client has sent and whether the data size is reasonable.
CVE-2018-0734 6 Canonical, Debian, Netapp and 3 more 20 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Cloud Backup and 17 more 2023-11-07 4.3 MEDIUM 5.9 MEDIUM
The OpenSSL DSA signature algorithm has been shown to be vulnerable to a timing side channel attack. An attacker could use variations in the signing algorithm to recover the private key. Fixed in OpenSSL 1.1.1a (Affected 1.1.1). Fixed in OpenSSL 1.1.0j (Affected 1.1.0-1.1.0i). Fixed in OpenSSL 1.0.2q (Affected 1.0.2-1.0.2p).
CVE-2018-11236 4 Gnu, Netapp, Oracle and 1 more 9 Glibc, Data Ontap Edge, Element Software Management and 6 more 2023-11-07 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
stdlib/canonicalize.c in the GNU C Library (aka glibc or libc6) 2.27 and earlier, when processing very long pathname arguments to the realpath function, could encounter an integer overflow on 32-bit architectures, leading to a stack-based buffer overflow and, potentially, arbitrary code execution.
CVE-2018-1000632 5 Debian, Dom4j Project, Netapp and 2 more 15 Debian Linux, Dom4j, Oncommand Workflow Automation and 12 more 2023-11-07 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
dom4j version prior to version 2.1.1 contains a CWE-91: XML Injection vulnerability in Class: Element. Methods: addElement, addAttribute that can result in an attacker tampering with XML documents through XML injection. This attack appear to be exploitable via an attacker specifying attributes or elements in the XML document. This vulnerability appears to have been fixed in 2.1.1 or later.
CVE-2017-7668 6 Apache, Apple, Debian and 3 more 13 Http Server, Mac Os X, Debian Linux and 10 more 2023-11-07 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
The HTTP strict parsing changes added in Apache httpd 2.2.32 and 2.4.24 introduced a bug in token list parsing, which allows ap_find_token() to search past the end of its input string. By maliciously crafting a sequence of request headers, an attacker may be able to cause a segmentation fault, or to force ap_find_token() to return an incorrect value.
CVE-2017-7657 5 Debian, Eclipse, Hp and 2 more 18 Debian Linux, Jetty, Xp P9000 and 15 more 2023-11-07 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
In Eclipse Jetty, versions 9.2.x and older, 9.3.x (all configurations), and 9.4.x (non-default configuration with RFC2616 compliance enabled), transfer-encoding chunks are handled poorly. The chunk length parsing was vulnerable to an integer overflow. Thus a large chunk size could be interpreted as a smaller chunk size and content sent as chunk body could be interpreted as a pipelined request. If Jetty was deployed behind an intermediary that imposed some authorization and that intermediary allowed arbitrarily large chunks to be passed on unchanged, then this flaw could be used to bypass the authorization imposed by the intermediary as the fake pipelined request would not be interpreted by the intermediary as a request.
