In Django 2.2 before 2.2.25, 3.1 before 3.1.14, and 3.2 before 3.2.10, HTTP requests for URLs with trailing newlines could bypass upstream access control based on URL paths.
CVE-2021-45079 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 1 more | 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Extra Packages For Enterprise Linux and 2 more | 2023-11-07 | 5.8 MEDIUM | 9.1 CRITICAL |
In strongSwan before 5.9.5, a malicious responder can send an EAP-Success message too early without actually authenticating the client and (in the case of EAP methods with mutual authentication and EAP-only authentication for IKEv2) even without server authentication.
CVE-2021-44731 | 3 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject | 4 Snapd, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 1 more | 2023-11-07 | 6.9 MEDIUM | 7.8 HIGH |
A race condition existed in the snapd 2.54.2 snap-confine binary when preparing a private mount namespace for a snap. This could allow a local attacker to gain root privileges by bind-mounting their own contents inside the snap's private mount namespace and causing snap-confine to execute arbitrary code and hence gain privilege escalation. Fixed in snapd versions 2.54.3+18.04, 2.54.3+20.04 and 2.54.3+21.10.1
CVE-2021-44730 | 3 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject | 4 Snapd, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 1 more | 2023-11-07 | 6.9 MEDIUM | 8.8 HIGH |
snapd 2.54.2 did not properly validate the location of the snap-confine binary. A local attacker who can hardlink this binary to another location to cause snap-confine to execute other arbitrary binaries and hence gain privilege escalation. Fixed in snapd versions 2.54.3+18.04, 2.54.3+20.04 and 2.54.3+21.10.1
CVE-2021-3737 | 6 Canonical, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 3 more | 17 Ubuntu Linux, Fedora, Hci and 14 more | 2023-11-07 | 7.1 HIGH | 7.5 HIGH |
A flaw was found in python. An improperly handled HTTP response in the HTTP client code of python may allow a remote attacker, who controls the HTTP server, to make the client script enter an infinite loop, consuming CPU time. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to system availability.
CVE-2021-3640 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 20 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 17 more | 2023-11-07 | 6.9 MEDIUM | 7.0 HIGH |
A flaw use-after-free in function sco_sock_sendmsg() of the Linux kernel HCI subsystem was found in the way user calls ioct UFFDIO_REGISTER or other way triggers race condition of the call sco_conn_del() together with the call sco_sock_sendmsg() with the expected controllable faulting memory page. A privileged local user could use this flaw to crash the system or escalate their privileges on the system.
CVE-2020-8794 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 1 more | 4 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 1 more | 2023-11-07 | 10.0 HIGH | 9.8 CRITICAL |
OpenSMTPD before 6.6.4 allows remote code execution because of an out-of-bounds read in mta_io in mta_session.c for multi-line replies. Although this vulnerability affects the client side of OpenSMTPD, it is possible to attack a server because the server code launches the client code during bounce handling.
CVE-2020-8835 | 4 Canonical, Fedoraproject, Linux and 1 more | 47 Ubuntu Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 44 more | 2023-11-07 | 7.2 HIGH | 7.8 HIGH |
In the Linux kernel 5.5.0 and newer, the bpf verifier (kernel/bpf/verifier.c) did not properly restrict the register bounds for 32-bit operations, leading to out-of-bounds reads and writes in kernel memory. The vulnerability also affects the Linux 5.4 stable series, starting with v5.4.7, as the introducing commit was backported to that branch. This vulnerability was fixed in 5.6.1, 5.5.14, and 5.4.29. (issue is aka ZDI-CAN-10780)
CVE-2020-8130 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 2 more | 2023-11-07 | 6.9 MEDIUM | 6.4 MEDIUM |
There is an OS command injection vulnerability in Ruby Rake < 12.3.3 in Rake::FileList when supplying a filename that begins with the pipe character `|`.
CVE-2020-9308 | 3 Canonical, Fedoraproject, Libarchive | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Fedora, Libarchive | 2023-11-07 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 8.8 HIGH |
archive_read_support_format_rar5.c in libarchive before 3.4.2 attempts to unpack a RAR5 file with an invalid or corrupted header (such as a header size of zero), leading to a SIGSEGV or possibly unspecified other impact.
CVE-2020-8492 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 2 more | 2023-11-07 | 7.1 HIGH | 6.5 MEDIUM |
Python 2.7 through 2.7.17, 3.5 through 3.5.9, 3.6 through 3.6.10, 3.7 through 3.7.6, and 3.8 through 3.8.1 allows an HTTP server to conduct Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) attacks against a client because of urllib.request.AbstractBasicAuthHandler catastrophic backtracking.
CVE-2020-8619 | 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 6 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 3 more | 2023-11-07 | 4.0 MEDIUM | 4.9 MEDIUM |
In ISC BIND9 versions BIND 9.11.14 -> 9.11.19, BIND 9.14.9 -> 9.14.12, BIND 9.16.0 -> 9.16.3, BIND Supported Preview Edition 9.11.14-S1 -> 9.11.19-S1: Unless a nameserver is providing authoritative service for one or more zones and at least one zone contains an empty non-terminal entry containing an asterisk ("*") character, this defect cannot be encountered. A would-be attacker who is allowed to change zone content could theoretically introduce such a record in order to exploit this condition to cause denial of service, though we consider the use of this vector unlikely because any such attack would require a significant privilege level and be easily traceable.
CVE-2020-8927 | 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 10 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 7 more | 2023-11-07 | 6.4 MEDIUM | 6.5 MEDIUM |
A buffer overflow exists in the Brotli library versions prior to 1.0.8 where an attacker controlling the input length of a "one-shot" decompression request to a script can trigger a crash, which happens when copying over chunks of data larger than 2 GiB. It is recommended to update your Brotli library to 1.0.8 or later. If one cannot update, we recommend to use the "streaming" API as opposed to the "one-shot" API, and impose chunk size limits.
CVE-2020-9402 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Djangoproject and 2 more | 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Django and 2 more | 2023-11-07 | 6.5 MEDIUM | 8.8 HIGH |
Django 1.11 before 1.11.29, 2.2 before 2.2.11, and 3.0 before 3.0.4 allows SQL Injection if untrusted data is used as a tolerance parameter in GIS functions and aggregates on Oracle. By passing a suitably crafted tolerance to GIS functions and aggregates on Oracle, it was possible to break escaping and inject malicious SQL.
CVE-2020-8617 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 2 more | 2023-11-07 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.9 MEDIUM |
Using a specially-crafted message, an attacker may potentially cause a BIND server to reach an inconsistent state if the attacker knows (or successfully guesses) the name of a TSIG key used by the server. Since BIND, by default, configures a local session key even on servers whose configuration does not otherwise make use of it, almost all current BIND servers are vulnerable. In releases of BIND dating from March 2018 and after, an assertion check in tsig.c detects this inconsistent state and deliberately exits. Prior to the introduction of the check the server would continue operating in an inconsistent state, with potentially harmful results.
CVE-2020-7595 | 7 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more | 32 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 29 more | 2023-11-07 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
xmlStringLenDecodeEntities in parser.c in libxml2 2.9.10 has an infinite loop in a certain end-of-file situation.
CVE-2020-9490 | 7 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 4 more | 25 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 22 more | 2023-11-07 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
Apache HTTP Server versions 2.4.20 to 2.4.43. A specially crafted value for the 'Cache-Digest' header in a HTTP/2 request would result in a crash when the server actually tries to HTTP/2 PUSH a resource afterwards. Configuring the HTTP/2 feature via "H2Push off" will mitigate this vulnerability for unpatched servers.
CVE-2020-8450 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 2 more | 2023-11-07 | 7.5 HIGH | 7.3 HIGH |
An issue was discovered in Squid before 4.10. Due to incorrect buffer management, a remote client can cause a buffer overflow in a Squid instance acting as a reverse proxy.
