ntpd in ntp before 4.2.8p14 and 4.3.x before 4.3.100 allows an off-path attacker to block unauthenticated synchronization via a server mode packet with a spoofed source IP address, because transmissions are rescheduled even when a packet lacks a valid origin timestamp.
CVE-2020-13817 | 4 Fujitsu, Netapp, Ntp and 1 more | 40 M10-1, M10-1 Firmware, M10-4 and 37 more | 2025-05-05 | 5.8 MEDIUM | 7.4 HIGH |
ntpd in ntp before 4.2.8p14 and 4.3.x before 4.3.100 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (daemon exit or system time change) by predicting transmit timestamps for use in spoofed packets. The victim must be relying on unauthenticated IPv4 time sources. There must be an off-path attacker who can query time from the victim's ntpd instance.
CVE-2022-3602 | 4 Fedoraproject, Netapp, Nodejs and 1 more | 4 Fedora, Clustered Data Ontap, Node.js and 1 more | 2025-05-05 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
A buffer overrun can be triggered in X.509 certificate verification, specifically in name constraint checking. Note that this occurs after certificate chain signature verification and requires either a CA to have signed the malicious certificate or for the application to continue certificate verification despite failure to construct a path to a trusted issuer. An attacker can craft a malicious email address to overflow four attacker-controlled bytes on the stack. This buffer overflow could result in a crash (causing a denial of service) or potentially remote code execution. Many platforms implement stack overflow protections which would mitigate against the risk of remote code execution. The risk may be further mitigated based on stack layout for any given platform/compiler. Pre-announcements of CVE-2022-3602 described this issue as CRITICAL. Further analysis based on some of the mitigating factors described above have led this to be downgraded to HIGH. Users are still encouraged to upgrade to a new version as soon as possible. In a TLS client, this can be triggered by connecting to a malicious server. In a TLS server, this can be triggered if the server requests client authentication and a malicious client connects. Fixed in OpenSSL 3.0.7 (Affected 3.0.0,3.0.1,3.0.2,3.0.3,3.0.4,3.0.5,3.0.6).
CVE-2021-36160 | 6 Apache, Broadcom, Debian and 3 more | 13 Http Server, Brocade Fabric Operating System Firmware, Debian Linux and 10 more | 2025-05-01 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
A carefully crafted request uri-path can cause mod_proxy_uwsgi to read above the allocated memory and crash (DoS). This issue affects Apache HTTP Server versions 2.4.30 to 2.4.48 (inclusive).
CVE-2020-11993 | 7 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 4 more | 13 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 10 more | 2025-05-01 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
Apache HTTP Server versions 2.4.20 to 2.4.43 When trace/debug was enabled for the HTTP/2 module and on certain traffic edge patterns, logging statements were made on the wrong connection, causing concurrent use of memory pools. Configuring the LogLevel of mod_http2 above "info" will mitigate this vulnerability for unpatched servers.
CVE-2021-39275 | 6 Apache, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 11 Http Server, Debian Linux, Fedora and 8 more | 2025-05-01 | 7.5 HIGH | 9.8 CRITICAL |
ap_escape_quotes() may write beyond the end of a buffer when given malicious input. No included modules pass untrusted data to these functions, but third-party / external modules may. This issue affects Apache HTTP Server 2.4.48 and earlier.
CVE-2022-31813 | 3 Apache, Fedoraproject, Netapp | 3 Http Server, Fedora, Clustered Data Ontap | 2025-05-01 | 7.5 HIGH | 9.8 CRITICAL |
Apache HTTP Server 2.4.53 and earlier may not send the X-Forwarded-* headers to the origin server based on client side Connection header hop-by-hop mechanism. This may be used to bypass IP based authentication on the origin server/application.
CVE-2022-28615 | 3 Apache, Fedoraproject, Netapp | 3 Http Server, Fedora, Clustered Data Ontap | 2025-05-01 | 6.4 MEDIUM | 9.1 CRITICAL |
Apache HTTP Server 2.4.53 and earlier may crash or disclose information due to a read beyond bounds in ap_strcmp_match() when provided with an extremely large input buffer. While no code distributed with the server can be coerced into such a call, third-party modules or lua scripts that use ap_strcmp_match() may hypothetically be affected.
CVE-2022-26377 | 3 Apache, Fedoraproject, Netapp | 3 Http Server, Fedora, Clustered Data Ontap | 2025-05-01 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
Inconsistent Interpretation of HTTP Requests ('HTTP Request Smuggling') vulnerability in mod_proxy_ajp of Apache HTTP Server allows an attacker to smuggle requests to the AJP server it forwards requests to. This issue affects Apache HTTP Server Apache HTTP Server 2.4 version 2.4.53 and prior versions.
CVE-2022-30556 | 3 Apache, Fedoraproject, Netapp | 3 Http Server, Fedora, Clustered Data Ontap | 2025-05-01 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
Apache HTTP Server 2.4.53 and earlier may return lengths to applications calling r:wsread() that point past the end of the storage allocated for the buffer.
CVE-2022-40303 | 3 Apple, Netapp, Xmlsoft | 22 Ipados, Iphone Os, Macos and 19 more | 2025-04-29 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
An issue was discovered in libxml2 before 2.10.3. When parsing a multi-gigabyte XML document with the XML_PARSE_HUGE parser option enabled, several integer counters can overflow. This results in an attempt to access an array at a negative 2GB offset, typically leading to a segmentation fault.
CVE-2022-40304 | 3 Apple, Netapp, Xmlsoft | 22 Ipados, Iphone Os, Macos and 19 more | 2025-04-28 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
An issue was discovered in libxml2 before 2.10.3. Certain invalid XML entity definitions can corrupt a hash table key, potentially leading to subsequent logic errors. In one case, a double-free can be provoked.
CVE-2022-32207 | 6 Apple, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 19 Macos, Debian Linux, Fedora and 16 more | 2025-04-23 | 7.5 HIGH | 9.8 CRITICAL |
When curl < 7.84.0 saves cookies, alt-svc and hsts data to local files, it makes the operation atomic by finalizing the operation with a rename from a temporary name to the final target file name.In that rename operation, it might accidentally *widen* the permissions for the target file, leaving the updated file accessible to more users than intended.
CVE-2024-38474 | 2 Apache, Netapp | 2 Http Server, Clustered Data Ontap | 2025-03-25 | N/A | 9.8 CRITICAL |
Substitution encoding issue in mod_rewrite in Apache HTTP Server 2.4.59 and earlier allows attacker to execute scripts in directories permitted by the configuration but not directly reachable by any URL or source disclosure of scripts meant to only to be executed as CGI. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.4.60, which fixes this issue. Some RewriteRules that capture and substitute unsafely will now fail unless rewrite flag "UnsafeAllow3F" is specified.
CVE-2024-38477 | 2 Apache, Netapp | 2 Http Server, Clustered Data Ontap | 2025-03-18 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
null pointer dereference in mod_proxy in Apache HTTP Server 2.4.59 and earlier allows an attacker to crash the server via a malicious request. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.4.60, which fixes this issue.
CVE-2023-23916 | 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Haxx and 2 more | 13 Debian Linux, Fedora, Curl and 10 more | 2025-03-12 | N/A | 6.5 MEDIUM |
An allocation of resources without limits or throttling vulnerability exists in curl <v7.88.0 based on the "chained" HTTP compression algorithms, meaning that a server response can be compressed multiple times and potentially with differentalgorithms. The number of acceptable "links" in this "decompression chain" wascapped, but the cap was implemented on a per-header basis allowing a maliciousserver to insert a virtually unlimited number of compression steps simply byusing many headers. The use of such a decompression chain could result in a "malloc bomb", making curl end up spending enormous amounts of allocated heap memory, or trying to and returning out of memory errors.
CVE-2023-23914 | 3 Haxx, Netapp, Splunk | 12 Curl, Active Iq Unified Manager, Clustered Data Ontap and 9 more | 2025-03-12 | N/A | 9.1 CRITICAL |
A cleartext transmission of sensitive information vulnerability exists in curl <v7.88.0 that could cause HSTS functionality fail when multiple URLs are requested serially. Using its HSTS support, curl can be instructed to use HTTPS instead of usingan insecure clear-text HTTP step even when HTTP is provided in the URL. ThisHSTS mechanism would however surprisingly be ignored by subsequent transferswhen done on the same command line because the state would not be properlycarried on.
CVE-2023-28319 | 3 Apple, Haxx, Netapp | 12 Macos, Curl, Clustered Data Ontap and 9 more | 2025-01-15 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
A use after free vulnerability exists in curl <v8.1.0 in the way libcurl offers a feature to verify an SSH server's public key using a SHA 256 hash. When this check fails, libcurl would free the memory for the fingerprint before it returns an error message containing the (now freed) hash. This flaw risks inserting sensitive heap-based data into the error message that might be shown to users or otherwise get leaked and revealed.
CVE-2023-28321 | 5 Apple, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 14 Macos, Debian Linux, Fedora and 11 more | 2025-01-15 | N/A | 5.9 MEDIUM |
An improper certificate validation vulnerability exists in curl <v8.1.0 in the way it supports matching of wildcard patterns when listed as "Subject Alternative Name" in TLS server certificates. curl can be built to use its own name matching function for TLS rather than one provided by a TLS library. This private wildcard matching function would match IDN (International Domain Name) hosts incorrectly and could as a result accept patterns that otherwise should mismatch. IDN hostnames are converted to puny code before used for certificate checks. Puny coded names always start with `xn--` and should not be allowed to pattern match, but the wildcard check in curl could still check for `x*`, which would match even though the IDN name most likely contained nothing even resembling an `x`.
CVE-2023-28320 | 3 Apple, Haxx, Netapp | 12 Macos, Curl, Clustered Data Ontap and 9 more | 2025-01-15 | N/A | 5.9 MEDIUM |
A denial of service vulnerability exists in curl <v8.1.0 in the way libcurl provides several different backends for resolving host names, selected at build time. If it is built to use the synchronous resolver, it allows name resolves to time-out slow operations using `alarm()` and `siglongjmp()`. When doing this, libcurl used a global buffer that was not mutex protected and a multi-threaded application might therefore crash or otherwise misbehave. |
