An exploitable denial-of-service vulnerability exists in the X509 certificate parser of Python.org Python 2.7.11 / 3.6.6. A specially crafted X509 certificate can cause a NULL pointer dereference, resulting in a denial of service. An attacker can initiate or accept TLS connections using crafted certificates to trigger this vulnerability.

CVE-2019-5420 | 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Rubyonrails | 3 Debian Linux, Fedora, Rails | 2023-11-07 | 7.5 HIGH | 9.8 CRITICAL |
A remote code execution vulnerability in development mode Rails <5.2.2.1, <6.0.0.beta3 can allow an attacker to guess the automatically generated development mode secret token. This secret token can be used in combination with other Rails internals to escalate to a remote code execution exploit.

There is a possible denial of service vulnerability in Action View (Rails) <5.2.2.1, <5.1.6.2, <5.0.7.2, <4.2.11.1 where specially crafted accept headers can cause action view to consume 100% cpu and make the server unresponsive.

Inappropriate memory management when caching in PDFium in Google Chrome prior to 72.0.3626.81 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside a sandbox via a crafted PDF file.
CVE-2019-5719 | 2 Debian, Wireshark | 2 Debian Linux, Wireshark | 2023-11-07 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.5 MEDIUM |
In Wireshark 2.6.0 to 2.6.5 and 2.4.0 to 2.4.11, the ISAKMP dissector could crash. This was addressed in epan/dissectors/packet-isakmp.c by properly handling the case of a missing decryption data block.
CVE-2019-5763 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Google and 1 more | 6 Debian Linux, Fedora, Chrome and 3 more | 2023-11-07 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 8.8 HIGH |
Failure to check error conditions in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 72.0.3626.81 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page.
CVE-2019-5758 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Google and 1 more | 6 Debian Linux, Fedora, Chrome and 3 more | 2023-11-07 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 8.8 HIGH |
Incorrect object lifecycle management in Blink in Google Chrome prior to 72.0.3626.81 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page.
CVE-2019-3839 | 6 Artifex, Canonical, Debian and 3 more | 6 Ghostscript, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 3 more | 2023-11-07 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 7.8 HIGH |
It was found that in ghostscript some privileged operators remained accessible from various places after the CVE-2019-6116 fix. A specially crafted PostScript file could use this flaw in order to, for example, have access to the file system outside of the constrains imposed by -dSAFER. Ghostscript versions before 9.27 are vulnerable.
CVE-2019-3862 | 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Libssh2 and 2 more | 5 Debian Linux, Fedora, Libssh2 and 2 more | 2023-11-07 | 6.4 MEDIUM | 9.1 CRITICAL |
An out of bounds read flaw was discovered in libssh2 before 1.8.1 in the way SSH_MSG_CHANNEL_REQUEST packets with an exit status message and no payload are parsed. A remote attacker who compromises a SSH server may be able to cause a Denial of Service or read data in the client memory.
CVE-2019-3863 | 5 Debian, Libssh2, Netapp and 2 more | 10 Debian Linux, Libssh2, Ontap Select Deploy Administration Utility and 7 more | 2023-11-07 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 8.8 HIGH |
A flaw was found in libssh2 before 1.8.1. A server could send a multiple keyboard interactive response messages whose total length are greater than unsigned char max characters. This value is used as an index to copy memory causing in an out of bounds memory write error.
CVE-2019-3822 | 7 Canonical, Debian, Haxx and 4 more | 16 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Libcurl and 13 more | 2023-11-07 | 7.5 HIGH | 9.8 CRITICAL |
libcurl versions from 7.36.0 to before 7.64.0 are vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow. The function creating an outgoing NTLM type-3 header (`lib/vauth/ntlm.c:Curl_auth_create_ntlm_type3_message()`), generates the request HTTP header contents based on previously received data. The check that exists to prevent the local buffer from getting overflowed is implemented wrongly (using unsigned math) and as such it does not prevent the overflow from happening. This output data can grow larger than the local buffer if very large 'nt response' data is extracted from a previous NTLMv2 header provided by the malicious or broken HTTP server. Such a 'large value' needs to be around 1000 bytes or more. The actual payload data copied to the target buffer comes from the NTLMv2 type-2 response header.
CVE-2019-3842 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat and 1 more | 4 Debian Linux, Fedora, Enterprise Linux and 1 more | 2023-11-07 | 4.4 MEDIUM | 7.0 HIGH |
In systemd before v242-rc4, it was discovered that pam_systemd does not properly sanitize the environment before using the XDG_SEAT variable. It is possible for an attacker, in some particular configurations, to set a XDG_SEAT environment variable which allows for commands to be checked against polkit policies using the "allow_active" element rather than "allow_any".
CVE-2019-3823 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Haxx and 2 more | 7 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Libcurl and 4 more | 2023-11-07 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
libcurl versions from 7.34.0 to before 7.64.0 are vulnerable to a heap out-of-bounds read in the code handling the end-of-response for SMTP. If the buffer passed to `smtp_endofresp()` isn't NUL terminated and contains no character ending the parsed number, and `len` is set to 5, then the `strtol()` call reads beyond the allocated buffer. The read contents will not be returned to the caller.
CVE-2019-3859 | 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Libssh2 and 2 more | 5 Debian Linux, Fedora, Libssh2 and 2 more | 2023-11-07 | 6.4 MEDIUM | 9.1 CRITICAL |
An out of bounds read flaw was discovered in libssh2 before 1.8.1 in the _libssh2_packet_require and _libssh2_packet_requirev functions. A remote attacker who compromises a SSH server may be able to cause a Denial of Service or read data in the client memory.
CVE-2019-3861 | 4 Debian, Libssh2, Netapp and 1 more | 4 Debian Linux, Libssh2, Ontap Select Deploy Administration Utility and 1 more | 2023-11-07 | 6.4 MEDIUM | 9.1 CRITICAL |
An out of bounds read flaw was discovered in libssh2 before 1.8.1 in the way SSH packets with a padding length value greater than the packet length are parsed. A remote attacker who compromises a SSH server may be able to cause a Denial of Service or read data in the client memory. |
