CVE | Vendors | Products | Updated | CVSS v2 | CVSS v3 |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
CVE-2020-12137 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 6 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 3 more | 2023-11-07 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 6.1 MEDIUM |
GNU Mailman 2.x before 2.1.30 uses the .obj extension for scrubbed application/octet-stream MIME parts. This behavior may contribute to XSS attacks against list-archive visitors, because an HTTP reply from an archive web server may lack a MIME type, and a web browser may perform MIME sniffing, conclude that the MIME type should have been text/html, and execute JavaScript code. | |||||
CVE-2020-10029 | 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 12 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 9 more | 2023-11-07 | 2.1 LOW | 5.5 MEDIUM |
The GNU C Library (aka glibc or libc6) before 2.32 could overflow an on-stack buffer during range reduction if an input to an 80-bit long double function contains a non-canonical bit pattern, a seen when passing a 0x5d414141414141410000 value to sinl on x86 targets. This is related to sysdeps/ieee754/ldbl-96/e_rem_pio2l.c. | |||||
CVE-2020-11501 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 2 more | 2023-11-07 | 5.8 MEDIUM | 7.4 HIGH |
GnuTLS 3.6.x before 3.6.13 uses incorrect cryptography for DTLS. The earliest affected version is 3.6.3 (2018-07-16) because of an error in a 2017-10-06 commit. The DTLS client always uses 32 '\0' bytes instead of a random value, and thus contributes no randomness to a DTLS negotiation. This breaks the security guarantees of the DTLS protocol. | |||||

There is a reachable assertion abort in the function write_long_string_missing_values() in data/sys-file-writer.c in libdata.a in GNU PSPP 1.2.0 that will lead to denial of service. | |||||
CVE-2019-9169 | 4 Canonical, Gnu, Mcafee and 1 more | 6 Ubuntu Linux, Glibc, Web Gateway and 3 more | 2023-11-07 | 7.5 HIGH | 9.8 CRITICAL |
In the GNU C Library (aka glibc or libc6) through 2.29, proceed_next_node in posix/regexec.c has a heap-based buffer over-read via an attempted case-insensitive regular-expression match. | |||||
CVE-2019-3829 | 2 Fedoraproject, Gnu | 2 Fedora, Gnutls | 2023-11-07 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
A vulnerability was found in gnutls versions from 3.5.8 before 3.6.7. A memory corruption (double free) vulnerability in the certificate verification API. Any client or server application that verifies X.509 certificates with GnuTLS 3.5.8 or later is affected. | |||||
CVE-2019-3836 | 3 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Opensuse | 3 Fedora, Gnutls, Leap | 2023-11-07 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
It was discovered in gnutls before version 3.6.7 upstream that there is an uninitialized pointer access in gnutls versions 3.6.3 or later which can be triggered by certain post-handshake messages. | |||||
CVE-2019-25051 | 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Gnu | 3 Debian Linux, Fedora, Aspell | 2023-11-07 | 4.6 MEDIUM | 7.8 HIGH |
objstack in GNU Aspell 0.60.8 has a heap-based buffer overflow in acommon::ObjStack::dup_top (called from acommon::StringMap::add and acommon::Config::lookup_list). | |||||
CVE-2019-19126 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 1 more | 4 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 1 more | 2023-11-07 | 2.1 LOW | 3.3 LOW |
On the x86-64 architecture, the GNU C Library (aka glibc) before 2.31 fails to ignore the LD_PREFER_MAP_32BIT_EXEC environment variable during program execution after a security transition, allowing local attackers to restrict the possible mapping addresses for loaded libraries and thus bypass ASLR for a setuid program. | |||||
CVE-2019-17451 | 3 Canonical, Gnu, Opensuse | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Binutils, Leap | 2023-11-07 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 6.5 MEDIUM |
An issue was discovered in the Binary File Descriptor (BFD) library (aka libbfd), as distributed in GNU Binutils 2.32. It is an integer overflow leading to a SEGV in _bfd_dwarf2_find_nearest_line in dwarf2.c, as demonstrated by nm. | |||||
CVE-2019-18224 | 1 Gnu | 1 Libidn2 | 2023-11-07 | 7.5 HIGH | 9.8 CRITICAL |
idn2_to_ascii_4i in lib/lookup.c in GNU libidn2 before 2.1.1 has a heap-based buffer overflow via a long domain string. | |||||
CVE-2019-18397 | 2 Debian, Gnu | 2 Debian Linux, Fribidi | 2023-11-07 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 7.8 HIGH |
A buffer overflow in the fribidi_get_par_embedding_levels_ex() function in lib/fribidi-bidi.c of GNU FriBidi through 1.0.7 allows an attacker to cause a denial of service or possibly execute arbitrary code by delivering crafted text content to a user, when this content is then rendered by an application that uses FriBidi for text layout calculations. Examples include any GNOME or GTK+ based application that uses Pango for text layout, as this internally uses FriBidi for bidirectional text layout. For example, the attacker can construct a crafted text file to be opened in GEdit, or a crafted IRC message to be viewed in HexChat. | |||||
CVE-2019-15531 | 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Gnu | 3 Debian Linux, Fedora, Libextractor | 2023-11-07 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 6.5 MEDIUM |
GNU Libextractor through 1.9 has a heap-based buffer over-read in the function EXTRACTOR_dvi_extract_method in plugins/dvi_extractor.c. | |||||
CVE-2019-15767 | 1 Gnu | 1 Chess | 2023-11-07 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 7.8 HIGH |
In GNU Chess 6.2.5, there is a stack-based buffer overflow in the cmd_load function in frontend/cmd.cc via a crafted chess position in an EPD file. | |||||
CVE-2019-13636 | 1 Gnu | 1 Patch | 2023-11-07 | 5.8 MEDIUM | 5.9 MEDIUM |
In GNU patch through 2.7.6, the following of symlinks is mishandled in certain cases other than input files. This affects inp.c and util.c. | |||||
CVE-2019-12972 | 3 Canonical, Gnu, Opensuse | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Binutils, Leap | 2023-11-07 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.5 MEDIUM |
An issue was discovered in the Binary File Descriptor (BFD) library (aka libbfd), as distributed in GNU Binutils 2.32. There is a heap-based buffer over-read in _bfd_doprnt in bfd.c because elf_object_p in elfcode.h mishandles an e_shstrndx section of type SHT_GROUP by omitting a trailing '\0' character. | |||||
CVE-2019-13638 | 2 Debian, Gnu | 2 Debian Linux, Patch | 2023-11-07 | 9.3 HIGH | 7.8 HIGH |
GNU patch through 2.7.6 is vulnerable to OS shell command injection that can be exploited by opening a crafted patch file that contains an ed style diff payload with shell metacharacters. The ed editor does not need to be present on the vulnerable system. This is different from CVE-2018-1000156. | |||||
CVE-2019-12290 | 1 Gnu | 1 Libidn2 | 2023-11-07 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
GNU libidn2 before 2.2.0 fails to perform the roundtrip checks specified in RFC3490 Section 4.2 when converting A-labels to U-labels. This makes it possible in some circumstances for one domain to impersonate another. By creating a malicious domain that matches a target domain except for the inclusion of certain punycoded Unicode characters (that would be discarded when converted first to a Unicode label and then back to an ASCII label), arbitrary domains can be impersonated. | |||||
CVE-2019-1010204 | 2 Gnu, Netapp | 4 Binutils, Binutils Gold, Hci Management Node and 1 more | 2023-11-07 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.5 MEDIUM |
