| CVE-2017-9864 | 1 Sma | 78 Sunny Boy 1.5, Sunny Boy 1.5 Firmware, Sunny Boy 2.5 and 75 more | 2024-08-05 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
| An issue was discovered in SMA Solar Technology products. An attacker can change the plant time even when not authenticated in any way. This changes the system time, possibly affecting lockout policies and random-number generators based on timestamps, and makes timestamps for data analysis unreliable. NOTE: the vendor reports that this is largely irrelevant because it only affects log-entry timestamps, and because the plant time would later be reset via NTP. (It has never been the case that a lockout policy or random-number generator was affected.) Also, only Sunny Boy TLST-21 and TL-21 and Sunny Tripower TL-10 and TL-30 could potentially be affected | |||||
| CVE-2017-9851 | 1 Sma | 1 Sunny Explorer | 2024-08-05 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
| An issue was discovered in SMA Solar Technology products. By sending nonsense data or setting up a TELNET session to the database port of Sunny Explorer, the application can be crashed. NOTE: the vendor reports that the maximum possible damage is a communication failure. Also, only Sunny Boy TLST-21 and TL-21 and Sunny Tripower TL-10 and TL-30 could potentially be affected | |||||
| CVE-2017-8459 | 1 Brave | 1 Brave | 2024-08-05 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 6.5 MEDIUM |
| Brave 0.12.4 has a Status Bar Obfuscation issue in which a redirection target is shown in a possibly unexpected way. NOTE: third parties dispute this issue because it is a behavior that might have legitimate applications in (for example) the display of web-search results | |||||
| CVE-2018-1000204 | 3 Canonical, Debian, Linux | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel | 2024-08-05 | 6.3 MEDIUM | 5.3 MEDIUM |
| Linux Kernel version 3.18 to 4.16 incorrectly handles an SG_IO ioctl on /dev/sg0 with dxfer_direction=SG_DXFER_FROM_DEV and an empty 6-byte cmdp. This may lead to copying up to 1000 kernel heap pages to the userspace. This has been fixed upstream in https://github.com/torvalds/linux/commit/a45b599ad808c3c982fdcdc12b0b8611c2f92824 already. The problem has limited scope, as users don't usually have permissions to access SCSI devices. On the other hand, e.g. the Nero user manual suggests doing `chmod o+r+w /dev/sg*` to make the devices accessible. NOTE: third parties dispute the relevance of this report, noting that the requirement for an attacker to have both the CAP_SYS_ADMIN and CAP_SYS_RAWIO capabilities makes it "virtually impossible to exploit. | |||||
| CVE-2018-19358 | 1 Gnome | 1 Gnome-keyring | 2024-08-05 | 2.1 LOW | 7.8 HIGH |
| GNOME Keyring through 3.28.2 allows local users to retrieve login credentials via a Secret Service API call and the D-Bus interface if the keyring is unlocked, a similar issue to CVE-2008-7320. One perspective is that this occurs because available D-Bus protection mechanisms (involving the busconfig and policy XML elements) are not used. NOTE: the vendor disputes this because, according to the security model, untrusted applications must not be allowed to access the user's session bus socket. | |||||
| CVE-2018-19093 | 1 Mz-automation | 1 Libiec61850 | 2024-08-05 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
| An issue has been found in libIEC61850 v1.3. It is a SEGV in ControlObjectClient_setCommandTerminationHandler in client/client_control.c. NOTE: the software maintainer disputes this because it requires incorrect usage of the client_example_control program | |||||
| CVE-2018-18603 | 1 360totalsecurity | 1 360 Total Security | 2024-08-05 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 6.3 MEDIUM |
| 360 Total Security 3.5.0.1033 allows a Sandbox Escape via an "import os" statement, followed by os.system("CMD") or os.system("PowerShell"), within a .py file. NOTE: the vendor's position is that this cannot be categorized as a vulnerability, although it is a security-related issue | |||||
| CVE-2018-18320 | 1 Asuswrt-merlin Project | 28 Rt-ac1900, Rt-ac1900 Firmware, Rt-ac2900 and 25 more | 2024-08-05 | 7.5 HIGH | 9.8 CRITICAL |
| An issue was discovered in the Merlin.PHP component 0.6.6 for Asuswrt-Merlin devices. An attacker can execute arbitrary commands because exec.php has a popen call. NOTE: the vendor indicates that Merlin.PHP is designed only for use on a trusted intranet network, and intentionally allows remote code execution | |||||
| CVE-2018-17538 | 1 Axon | 1 Evidence Sync | 2024-08-05 | 7.5 HIGH | 9.8 CRITICAL |
| Axon (formerly TASER International) Evidence Sync 3.15.89 is vulnerable to process injection. NOTE: the vendor's position is that this CVE is not associated with information that supports any finding of any type of vulnerability | |||||
| CVE-2018-17403 | 1 Phonepe | 1 Phonepe | 2024-08-05 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 8.8 HIGH |
| The PhonePe wallet (aka com.PhonePe.app) application 3.0.6 through 3.3.26 for Android might allow attackers to impersonate a user and set up their account without their knowledge. NOTE: the vendor says that, to exploit this, the user has to explicitly install a malicious app and provide accessibility permission to the malicious app, that the Android platform provides fair warnings to the users before turning on accessibility for any application, and that it believes it is similar to installing malicious keyboards, or malicious apps taking screenshots | |||||
| CVE-2018-17400 | 1 Phonepe | 1 Phonepe | 2024-08-05 | 1.2 LOW | 7.0 HIGH |
| The PhonePe wallet (aka com.PhonePe.app) application 3.0.6 through 3.3.26 for Android might allow attackers to perform Account Takeover attacks by intercepting the user name and PIN during the initial configuration of the application.
| CVE-2018-15660 | 1 Olacabs | 1 Olamoney | 2024-08-05 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.9 MEDIUM |
| An issue was discovered in the Ola Money (aka com.olacabs.olamoney) application 1.9.0 for Android. If an attacker controls an application with accessibility permissions, then the attacker can read certain Ola Money data such as a credit card number, expiration date, bank account number, and transaction history. NOTE: the vendor does not agree that this is a security issue requiring a fix | |||||
| CVE-2018-10021 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2024-08-05 | 4.9 MEDIUM | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| drivers/scsi/libsas/sas_scsi_host.c in the Linux kernel before 4.16 allows local users to cause a denial of service (ata qc leak) by triggering certain failure conditions. NOTE: a third party disputes the relevance of this report because the failure can only occur for physically proximate attackers who unplug SAS Host Bus Adapter cables | |||||
| CVE-2019-1010155 | 1 Dlink | 2 Dsl-2750u, Dsl-2750u Firmware | 2024-08-05 | 6.4 MEDIUM | 9.1 CRITICAL |
| D-Link DSL-2750U 1.11 is affected by: Authentication Bypass. The impact is: denial of service and information leakage. The component is: login. NOTE: Third parties dispute this issues as not being a vulnerability because although the wizard is accessible without authentication, it can't actually configure anything. Thus, there is no denial of service or information leakage | |||||
| CVE-2019-1010023 | 1 Gnu | 1 Glibc | 2024-08-05 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 8.8 HIGH |
| GNU Libc current is affected by: Re-mapping current loaded library with malicious ELF file. The impact is: In worst case attacker may evaluate privileges. The component is: libld. The attack vector is: Attacker sends 2 ELF files to victim and asks to run ldd on it. ldd execute code. NOTE: Upstream comments indicate "this is being treated as a non-security bug and no real threat. | |||||
| CVE-2019-19232 | 1 Sudo | 1 Sudo | 2024-08-05 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
| In Sudo through 1.8.29, an attacker with access to a Runas ALL sudoer account can impersonate a nonexistent user by invoking sudo with a numeric uid that is not associated with any user. NOTE: The software maintainer believes that this is not a vulnerability because running a command via sudo as a user not present in the local password database is an intentional feature. Because this behavior surprised some users, sudo 1.8.30 introduced an option to enable/disable this behavior with the default being disabled. However, this does not change the fact that sudo was behaving as intended, and as documented, in earlier versions | |||||
| CVE-2019-19234 | 1 Sudo | 1 Sudo | 2024-08-05 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
| In Sudo through 1.8.29, the fact that a user has been blocked (e.g., by using the ! character in the shadow file instead of a password hash) is not considered, allowing an attacker (who has access to a Runas ALL sudoer account) to impersonate any blocked user. NOTE: The software maintainer believes that this CVE is not valid. Disabling local password authentication for a user is not the same as disabling all access to that user--the user may still be able to login via other means (ssh key, kerberos, etc). Both the Linux shadow(5) and passwd(1) manuals are clear on this. Indeed it is a valid use case to have local accounts that are _only_ accessible via sudo and that cannot be logged into with a password. Sudo 1.8.30 added an optional setting to check the _shell_ of the target user (not the encrypted password!) against the contents of /etc/shells but that is not the same thing as preventing access to users with an invalid password hash | |||||
| CVE-2019-18216 | 1 Asus | 2 Rog Zephyrus M Gm501gs, Rog Zephyrus M Gm501gs Firmware | 2024-08-05 | 7.2 HIGH | 6.8 MEDIUM |
| The BIOS configuration design on ASUS ROG Zephyrus M GM501GS laptops with BIOS 313 relies on the main battery instead of using a CMOS battery, which reduces the value of a protection mechanism in which booting from a USB device is prohibited. Attackers who have physical laptop access can exhaust the main battery to reset the BIOS configuration, and then achieve direct access to the hard drive by booting a live USB OS without disassembling the laptop. NOTE: the vendor has apparently indicated that this is "normal" and use of the same battery for the BIOS and the overall system is a "new design." However, the vendor apparently plans to "improve" this an unspecified later time | |||||
| CVE-2019-14441 | 1 Libav | 1 Libav | 2024-08-05 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 6.5 MEDIUM |
| An issue was discovered in Libav 12.3. An access violation allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash), as demonstrated by avconv. This is related to ff_mpa_synth_filter_float in avcodec/mpegaudiodsp_template.c. NOTE: This may be a duplicate of CVE-2018-19129 | |||||
| CVE-2019-12456 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2024-08-05 | 7.2 HIGH | 7.8 HIGH |
| An issue was discovered in the MPT3COMMAND case in _ctl_ioctl_main in drivers/scsi/mpt3sas/mpt3sas_ctl.c in the Linux kernel through 5.1.5. It allows local users to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact by changing the value of ioc_number between two kernel reads of that value, aka a "double fetch" vulnerability. NOTE: a third party reports that this is unexploitable because the doubly fetched value is not used | |||||
