| CVE-2024-34688 | 1 Sap | 1 Netweaver Application Server Java | 2024-08-09 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
| Due to unrestricted access to the Meta Model Repository services in SAP NetWeaver AS Java, attackers can perform DoS attacks on the application, which may prevent legitimate users from accessing it. This can result in no impact on confidentiality and integrity but a high impact on the availability of the application. | |||||
| CVE-2024-33001 | 1 Sap | 1 Netweaver Application Server Abap | 2024-08-09 | N/A | 6.5 MEDIUM |
| SAP NetWeaver and ABAP platform allows an attacker to impede performance for legitimate users by crashing or flooding the service. An impact of this Denial of Service vulnerability might be long response delays and service interruptions, thus degrading the service quality experienced by legitimate users causing high impact on availability of the application. | |||||
| CVE-2024-34684 | 1 Sap | 1 Businessobjects Business Intelligence Platform | 2024-08-09 | N/A | 6.0 MEDIUM |
| On Unix, SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform (Scheduling) allows an authenticated attacker with administrator access on the local server to access the password of a local account. As a result, an attacker can obtain non-administrative user credentials, which will allow them to read or modify the remote server files. | |||||
| CVE-2024-41948 | 1 Biscuitsec | 1 Biscuit-java | 2024-08-09 | N/A | 5.0 MEDIUM |
| biscuit-java is the java implementation of Biscuit, an authentication and authorization token for microservices architectures. Third-party blocks can be generated without transferring the whole token to the third-party authority. Instead, a ThirdPartyBlock request can be sent, providing only the necessary info to generate a third-party block and to sign it, which includes the public key of the previous block (used in the signature) and the public keys part of the token symbol table (for public key interning in datalog expressions). A third-part block request forged by a malicious user can trick the third-party authority into generating datalog trusting the wrong keypair. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.0.0. | |||||
| CVE-2024-41949 | 1 Biscuitsec | 1 Biscuit-auth | 2024-08-09 | N/A | 6.4 MEDIUM |
| biscuit-rust is the Rust implementation of Biscuit, an authentication and authorization token for microservices architectures. | A use after free issue was addressed with improved memory management. This issue is fixed in Safari 17.2, iOS 17.2 and iPadOS 17.2, tvOS 17.2, watchOS 10.2, macOS Sonoma 14.2. Processing maliciously crafted web content may lead to arbitrary code execution. | |||||
| CVE-2024-40720 | 1 Changingtec | 1 Tcb Servisign | 2024-08-09 | N/A | 8.8 HIGH |
| The specific API in TCBServiSign Windows Version from CHANGING Information Technology does not properly validate server-side input. When a user visits a spoofed website, unauthenticated remote attackers can modify the `HKEY_CURRENT_USER` registry to execute arbitrary commands. | |||||
| CVE-2024-40721 | 1 Changingtec | 1 Tcb Servisign | 2024-08-09 | N/A | 8.8 HIGH |
| The specific API in TCBServiSign Windows Version from CHANGING Information Technology does not properly validate server-side input. When a user visits a spoofed website, unauthenticated remote attackers can cause the TCBServiSign to load a DLL from an arbitrary path. | |||||
| CVE-2024-42249 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2024-08-08 | N/A | 3.3 LOW |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: don't unoptimize message in spi_async() Calling spi_maybe_unoptimize_message() in spi_async() is wrong because the message is likely to be in the queue and not transferred yet. This can corrupt the message while it is being used by the controller driver. spi_maybe_unoptimize_message() is already called in the correct place in spi_finalize_current_message() to balance the call to spi_maybe_optimize_message() in spi_async(). | |||||

| CVE-2024-42233 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2024-08-08 | N/A | 3.3 LOW |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: filemap: replace pte_offset_map() with pte_offset_map_nolock() The vmf->ptl in filemap_fault_recheck_pte_none() is still set from handle_pte_fault(). But at the same time, we did a pte_unmap(vmf->pte). After a pte_unmap(vmf->pte) unmap and rcu_read_unlock(), the page table may be racily changed and vmf->ptl maybe fails to protect the actual page table. Fix this by replacing pte_offset_map() with pte_offset_map_nolock(). As David said, the PTL pointer might be stale so if we continue to use it infilemap_fault_recheck_pte_none(), it might trigger UAF. Also, if the PTL fails, the issue fixed by commit 58f327f2ce80 ("filemap: avoid unnecessary major faults in filemap_fault()") might reappear. | |||||
| CVE-2024-42243 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2024-08-08 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/filemap: make MAX_PAGECACHE_ORDER acceptable to xarray Patch series "mm/filemap: Limit page cache size to that supported by xarray", v2. Currently, xarray can't support arbitrary page cache size. More details can be found from the WARN_ON() statement in xas_split_alloc(). In our test whose code is attached below, we hit the WARN_ON() on ARM64 system where the base page size is 64KB and huge page size is 512MB. The issue was reported long time ago and some discussions on it can be found here [1]. [1] https://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-xfs/msg75404.html In order to fix the issue, we need to adjust MAX_PAGECACHE_ORDER to one supported by xarray and avoid PMD-sized page cache if needed. The code changes are suggested by David Hildenbrand.
