CVE-2020-8860 2 Google, Samsung 2 Android, Galaxy S10 2020-03-05 5.4 MEDIUM 8.0 HIGH
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Samsung Galaxy S10 Firmware G973FXXS3ASJA, O(8.x), P(9.0), Q(10.0) devices with Exynos chipsets. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must answer a phone call. The specific flaw exists within the Call Control Setup messages. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of the length of user-supplied data prior to copying it to a fixed-length, stack-based buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the baseband processor. Was ZDI-CAN-9658.
CVE-2020-7450 1 Freebsd 1 Freebsd 2020-03-05 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
In FreeBSD 12.1-STABLE before r357213, 12.1-RELEASE before 12.1-RELEASE-p2, 12.0-RELEASE before 12.0-RELEASE-p13, 11.3-STABLE before r357214, and 11.3-RELEASE before 11.3-RELEASE-p6, URL handling in libfetch with URLs containing username and/or password components is vulnerable to a heap buffer overflow allowing program misbehavior or malicious code execution.
CVE-2012-0828 3 Gnome, Xchat, Xchat-wdk 3 Gtk, Xchat, Xchat-wdk 2020-03-05 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
Heap-based buffer overflow in Xchat-WDK before 1499-4 (2012-01-18) xchat 2.8.6 on Maemo architecture could allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (xchat client crash) or execute arbitrary code via a UTF-8 line from server containing characters outside of the Basic Multilingual Plane (BMP).
CVE-2020-1792 1 Huawei 2 Honor V10, Honor V10 Firmware 2020-03-04 7.1 HIGH 5.5 MEDIUM
Honor V10 smartphones with versions earlier than BKL-AL20 10.0.0.156(C00E156R2P4) and versions earlier than BKL-L09 10.0.0.146(C432E4R1P4) have an out of bounds write vulnerability. The software writes data past the end of the intended buffer because of insufficient validation of certain parameter when initializing certain driver program. An attacker could trick the user into installing a malicious application, successful exploit could cause the device to reboot.
CVE-2020-1876 1 Huawei 6 Nip6800, Nip6800 Firmware, Secospace Usg6600 and 3 more 2020-03-04 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
NIP6800;Secospace USG6600;USG9500 with versions of V500R001C30; V500R001C60SPC500; V500R005C00SPC100 have an out-of-bounds write vulnerability. An unauthenticated attacker crafts malformed packets with specific parameter and sends the packets to the affected products. Due to insufficient validation of packets, which may be exploited to cause the process reboot.
CVE-2014-3484 1 Musl-libc 1 Musl 2020-02-28 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
Multiple stack-based buffer overflows in the __dn_expand function in network/dn_expand.c in musl libc 1.1x before 1.1.2 and 0.9.13 through 1.0.3 allow remote attackers to (1) have unspecified impact via an invalid name length in a DNS response or (2) cause a denial of service (crash) via an invalid name length in a DNS response, related to an infinite loop with no output.
CVE-2020-6970 1 Emerson 1 Openenterprise Scada Server 2020-02-28 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
A Heap-based Buffer Overflow was found in Emerson OpenEnterprise SCADA Server 2.83 (if Modbus or ROC Interfaces have been installed and are in use) and all versions of OpenEnterprise 3.1 through 3.3.3, where a specially crafted script could execute code on the OpenEnterprise Server.
CVE-2020-8997 1 Abbott 2 Freestyle Libre, Freestyle Libre Firmware 2020-02-28 5.8 MEDIUM 8.8 HIGH
Older generation Abbott FreeStyle Libre sensors allow remote attackers within close proximity to enable write access to memory via a specific NFC unlock command. NOTE: The vulnerability is not present in the FreeStyle Libre 14-day in the U.S (announced in August 2018) and FreeStyle Libre 2 outside the U.S (announced in October 2018).
CVE-2019-19988 1 Seling 1 Visual Access Manager 2020-02-27 6.5 MEDIUM 8.8 HIGH
An issue was discovered in Selesta Visual Access Manager (VAM) 4.15.0 through 4.29. A user with valid credentials is able to create and write XML files on the filesystem via /common/vam_editXml.php in the web interface. The vulnerable PHP page checks none of these: the parameter that identifies the file name to be created, the destination path, or the extension. Thus, an attacker can manipulate the file name to create any type of file within the filesystem with arbitrary content.
CVE-2019-19452 1 Patriotmemory 1 Viper Rgb Driver 2020-02-25 7.2 HIGH 7.8 HIGH
A buffer overflow was found in Patriot Viper RGB through 1.1 when processing IoControlCode 0x80102040. Local attackers (including low integrity processes) can exploit this to gain NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM privileges.
CVE-2011-0699 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2020-02-25 6.9 MEDIUM 7.0 HIGH
Integer signedness error in the btrfs_ioctl_space_info function in the Linux kernel 2.6.37 allows local users to cause a denial of service (heap-based buffer overflow) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted slot value.
CVE-2015-7505 1 Netsurf-browser 1 Libnsgif 2020-02-25 6.8 MEDIUM 8.8 HIGH
Stack-based buffer overflow in the gif_next_LZW function in libnsgif.c in Libnsgif 0.1.2 allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via a crafted LZW stream in a GIF file.
CVE-2018-14779 1 Yubico 3 Piv Manager, Piv Tool, Smart Card Minidriver 2020-02-25 7.2 HIGH 6.8 MEDIUM
A buffer overflow issue was discovered in the Yubico-Piv 1.5.0 smartcard driver. The file lib/ykpiv.c contains the following code in the function `ykpiv_transfer_data()`: {% highlight c %} if(*out_len + recv_len - 2 > max_out) { fprintf(stderr, "Output buffer to small, wanted to write %lu, max was %lu.", *out_len + recv_len - 2, max_out); } if(out_data) { memcpy(out_data, data, recv_len - 2); out_data += recv_len - 2; *out_len += recv_len - 2; } {% endhighlight %} -- it is clearly checked whether the buffer is big enough to hold the data copied using `memcpy()`, but no error handling happens to avoid the `memcpy()` in such cases. This code path can be triggered with malicious data coming from a smartcard.
CVE-2020-5234 1 Messagepack 1 Messagepack 2020-02-24 6.8 MEDIUM 6.5 MEDIUM
MessagePack for C# and Unity before version 1.9.11 and 2.1.90 has a vulnerability where untrusted data can lead to DoS attack due to hash collisions and stack overflow. Review the linked GitHub Security Advisory for more information and remediation steps.
