Artifex MuPDF before 1.18.0 has a heap based buffer over-write when parsing JBIG2 files allowing attackers to cause a denial of service.
CVE-2020-24659 4 Canonical, Fedoraproject, Gnu and 1 more 4 Ubuntu Linux, Fedora, Gnutls and 1 more 2023-11-07 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
An issue was discovered in GnuTLS before 3.6.15. A server can trigger a NULL pointer dereference in a TLS 1.3 client if a no_renegotiation alert is sent with unexpected timing, and then an invalid second handshake occurs. The crash happens in the application's error handling path, where the gnutls_deinit function is called after detecting a handshake failure.
CVE-2020-25647 4 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Netapp and 1 more 8 Fedora, Grub2, Ontap Select Deploy Administration Utility and 5 more 2023-11-07 7.2 HIGH 7.6 HIGH
A flaw was found in grub2 in versions prior to 2.06. During USB device initialization, descriptors are read with very little bounds checking and assumes the USB device is providing sane values. If properly exploited, an attacker could trigger memory corruption leading to arbitrary code execution allowing a bypass of the Secure Boot mechanism. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability.
CVE-2020-1711 4 Debian, Opensuse, Qemu and 1 more 5 Debian Linux, Leap, Qemu and 2 more 2023-11-07 6.0 MEDIUM 6.0 MEDIUM
An out-of-bounds heap buffer access flaw was found in the way the iSCSI Block driver in QEMU versions 2.12.0 before 4.2.1 handled a response coming from an iSCSI server while checking the status of a Logical Address Block (LBA) in an iscsi_co_block_status() routine. A remote user could use this flaw to crash the QEMU process, resulting in a denial of service or potential execution of arbitrary code with privileges of the QEMU process on the host.
CVE-2020-17528 1 Apache 1 Nuttx 2023-11-07 6.4 MEDIUM 9.1 CRITICAL
Out-of-bounds Write vulnerability in TCP stack of Apache NuttX (incubating) versions up to and including 9.1.0 and 10.0.0 allows attacker to corrupt memory by supplying arbitrary urgent data pointer offsets within TCP packets including beyond the length of the packet.
CVE-2020-24388 2 Fedoraproject, Yubico 2 Fedora, Yubihsm-shell 2023-11-07 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
An issue was discovered in the _send_secure_msg() function of yubihsm-shell through 2.0.2. The function does not validate the embedded length field of a message received from the device. This could lead to an oversized memcpy() call that will crash the running process. This could be used by an attacker to cause a denial of service.
CVE-2020-24387 2 Fedoraproject, Yubico 2 Fedora, Yubihsm-shell 2023-11-07 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
An issue was discovered in the yh_create_session() function of yubihsm-shell through 2.0.2. The function does not explicitly check the returned session id from the device. An invalid session id would lead to out-of-bounds read and write operations in the session array. This could be used by an attacker to cause a denial of service attack.
CVE-2020-19609 2 Artifex, Debian 2 Mupdf, Debian Linux 2023-11-07 4.3 MEDIUM 5.5 MEDIUM
Artifex MuPDF before 1.18.0 has a heap based buffer over-write in tiff_expand_colormap() function when parsing TIFF files allowing attackers to cause a denial of service.
CVE-2020-22029 2 Debian, Ffmpeg 2 Debian Linux, Ffmpeg 2023-11-07 6.8 MEDIUM 8.8 HIGH
A heap-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability exists in FFmpeg 4.2 at libavfilter/vf_colorconstancy.c: in slice_get_derivative, which crossfade_samples_fltp, which might lead to memory corruption and other potential consequences.
CVE-2020-20740 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Pdfresurrect Project 3 Debian Linux, Fedora, Pdfresurrect 2023-11-07 6.8 MEDIUM 7.8 HIGH
PDFResurrect before 0.20 lack of header validation checks causes heap-buffer-overflow in pdf_get_version().
CVE-2020-24265 2 Broadcom, Fedoraproject 2 Tcpreplay, Fedora 2023-11-07 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
An issue was discovered in tcpreplay tcpprep v4.3.3. There is a heap buffer overflow vulnerability in MemcmpInterceptorCommon() that can make tcpprep crash and cause a denial of service.
CVE-2020-1751 3 Canonical, Gnu, Redhat 3 Ubuntu Linux, Glibc, Enterprise Linux 2023-11-07 5.9 MEDIUM 7.0 HIGH
An out-of-bounds write vulnerability was found in glibc before 2.31 when handling signal trampolines on PowerPC. Specifically, the backtrace function did not properly check the array bounds when storing the frame address, resulting in a denial of service or potential code execution. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to system availability.
CVE-2020-17529 1 Apache 1 Nuttx 2023-11-07 6.8 MEDIUM 9.8 CRITICAL
Out-of-bounds Write vulnerability in TCP Stack of Apache NuttX (incubating) versions up to and including 9.1.0 and 10.0.0 allows attacker to corrupt memory by supplying and invalid fragmentation offset value specified in the IP header. This is only impacts builds with both CONFIG_EXPERIMENTAL and CONFIG_NET_TCP_REASSEMBLY build flags enabled.
CVE-2020-24266 2 Broadcom, Fedoraproject 2 Tcpreplay, Fedora 2023-11-07 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
An issue was discovered in tcpreplay tcpprep v4.3.3. There is a heap buffer overflow vulnerability in get_l2len() that can make tcpprep crash and cause a denial of service.
CVE-2020-21047 1 Elfutils Project 1 Elfutils 2023-11-07 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
The libcpu component which is used by libasm of elfutils version 0.177 (git 47780c9e), suffers from denial-of-service vulnerability caused by application crashes due to out-of-bounds write (CWE-787), off-by-one error (CWE-193) and reachable assertion (CWE-617); to exploit the vulnerability, the attackers need to craft certain ELF files which bypass the missing bound checks.
CVE-2020-1912 1 Facebook 1 Hermes 2023-11-07 6.8 MEDIUM 8.1 HIGH
An out-of-bounds read/write vulnerability when executing lazily compiled inner generator functions in Facebook Hermes prior to commit 091835377369c8fd5917d9b87acffa721ad2a168 allows attackers to potentially execute arbitrary code via crafted JavaScript. Note that this is only exploitable if the application using Hermes permits evaluation of untrusted JavaScript. Hence, most React Native applications are not affected.
