CVE-2021-37701 4 Debian, Npmjs, Oracle and 1 more 4 Debian Linux, Tar, Graalvm and 1 more 2023-01-19 4.4 MEDIUM 8.6 HIGH
The npm package "tar" (aka node-tar) before versions 4.4.16, 5.0.8, and 6.1.7 has an arbitrary file creation/overwrite and arbitrary code execution vulnerability. node-tar aims to guarantee that any file whose location would be modified by a symbolic link is not extracted. This is, in part, achieved by ensuring that extracted directories are not symlinks. Additionally, in order to prevent unnecessary stat calls to determine whether a given path is a directory, paths are cached when directories are created. This logic was insufficient when extracting tar files that contained both a directory and a symlink with the same name as the directory, where the symlink and directory names in the archive entry used backslashes as a path separator on posix systems. The cache checking logic used both `\` and `/` characters as path separators, however `\` is a valid filename character on posix systems. By first creating a directory, and then replacing that directory with a symlink, it was thus possible to bypass node-tar symlink checks on directories, essentially allowing an untrusted tar file to symlink into an arbitrary location and subsequently extracting arbitrary files into that location, thus allowing arbitrary file creation and overwrite. Additionally, a similar confusion could arise on case-insensitive filesystems. If a tar archive contained a directory at `FOO`, followed by a symbolic link named `foo`, then on case-insensitive file systems, the creation of the symbolic link would remove the directory from the filesystem, but _not_ from the internal directory cache, as it would not be treated as a cache hit. A subsequent file entry within the `FOO` directory would then be placed in the target of the symbolic link, thinking that the directory had already been created. These issues were addressed in releases 4.4.16, 5.0.8 and 6.1.7. The v3 branch of node-tar has been deprecated and did not receive patches for these issues. If you are still using a v3 release we recommend you update to a more recent version of node-tar. If this is not possible, a workaround is available in the referenced GHSA-9r2w-394v-53qc.
CVE-2022-45092 1 Siemens 1 Sinec Ins 2023-01-14 N/A 8.8 HIGH
A vulnerability has been identified in SINEC INS (All versions < V1.0 SP2 Update 1). An authenticated remote attacker with access to the Web Based Management (443/tcp) of the affected product, could potentially read and write arbitrary files from and to the device's file system. An attacker might leverage this to trigger remote code execution on the affected component.
CVE-2022-45093 1 Siemens 1 Sinec Ins 2023-01-14 N/A 8.8 HIGH
A vulnerability has been identified in SINEC INS (All versions < V1.0 SP2 Update 1). An authenticated remote attacker with access to the Web Based Management (443/tcp) of the affected product as well as with access to the SFTP server of the affected product (22/tcp), could potentially read and write arbitrary files from and to the device's file system. An attacker might leverage this to trigger remote code execution on the affected component.

CVE-2022-46306 1 Changingtec 1 Servisign 2023-01-10 N/A 7.8 HIGH
ChangingTec ServiSign component has a path traversal vulnerability due to insufficient filtering for special characters in the DLL file path. An unauthenticated remote attacker can host a malicious website for the component user to access, which triggers the component to load malicious DLL files under arbitrary file path and allows the attacker to perform arbitrary system operation and disrupt of service.
CVE-2022-46305 1 Changingtec 1 Servisign 2023-01-09 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
ChangingTec ServiSign component has a path traversal vulnerability. An unauthenticated LAN attacker can exploit this vulnerability to bypass authentication and access arbitrary system files.
CVE-2020-9920 1 Apple 4 Ipados, Iphone Os, Mac Os X and 1 more 2023-01-09 6.4 MEDIUM 9.1 CRITICAL
A path handling issue was addressed with improved validation. This issue is fixed in iOS 13.6 and iPadOS 13.6, macOS Catalina 10.15.6, watchOS 6.2.8. A malicious mail server may overwrite arbitrary mail files.
CVE-2022-38202 1 Esri 1 Arcgis Server 2023-01-06 N/A 7.5 HIGH
There is a path traversal vulnerability in Esri ArcGIS Server versions 10.9.1 and below. Successful exploitation may allow a remote, unauthenticated attacker traverse the file system to access files outside of the intended directory on ArcGIS Server. This could lead to the disclosure of sensitive site configuration information (not user datasets).
CVE-2022-38205 1 Esri 1 Portal For Arcgis 2023-01-05 N/A 7.5 HIGH
In some non-default installations of Esri Portal for ArcGIS versions 10.9.1 and below, a directory traversal issue may allow a remote, unauthenticated attacker to traverse the file system and lead to the disclosure of sensitive data (not customer-published content).
CVE-2022-46178 1 Metersphere 1 Metersphere 2023-01-05 N/A 8.8 HIGH
MeterSphere is a one-stop open source continuous testing platform, covering test management, interface testing, UI testing and performance testing. Versions prior to 2.5.1 allow users to upload a file, but do not validate the file name, which may lead to upload file to any path. The vulnerability has been fixed in v2.5.1. There are no workarounds.
CVE-2022-46171 1 Tauri 1 Tauri 2023-01-04 N/A 7.7 HIGH
Tauri is a framework for building binaries for all major desktop platforms. The filesystem glob pattern wildcards `*`, `?`, and `[...]` match file path literals and leading dots by default, which unintentionally exposes sub folder content of allowed paths. Scopes without the wildcards are not affected. As `**` allows for sub directories the behavior there is also as expected. The issue has been patched in the latest release and was backported into the currently supported 1.x branches. There are no known workarounds at the time of publication.
